Draft. This policy is waiting for the owner's review and is not in force yet. Items marked [DECIDE] are decisions still to be made; clauses marked [REVIEW] need a lawyer's review before publication.
What this covers
This policy applies to TellMeCAD and to DraftSI, the drawing assistant inside it. It is part of our terms of use. DraftSI runs on Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, so what you send to DraftSI must also follow Anthropic's Usage Policy.
What DraftSI is for
DraftSI is a drafting aid. Use it to draw, edit, annotate, measure and tidy 2D drawings, and to turn sketches, photos and notes you have the right to use into drawing objects. Everyday drafting for buildings, sites, services, products and plans is what it is made for.
What you must not do
You must not use TellMeCAD or DraftSI to:
- break the law of Malaysia or of the place you use it, or help anyone else do so;
- create or modify drawings or content intended to cause physical harm, including weapons, explosive or incendiary devices, or anything designed to injure people [REVIEW];
- copy, trace or reproduce drawings, images or designs you do not have the right to use, or otherwise infringe copyright, trademarks or trade secrets;
- produce deceptive documents: forged or altered plans, approvals, certificates, stamps, signatures or title blocks presented as genuine or officially approved;
- harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against anyone, or process other people's personal data beyond what a drawing legitimately contains;
- send pictures or content that are illegal to possess or share;
- attack, probe, overload or interfere with our service or its providers, or get around credit limits, usage caps, speed tiers or payments;
- share, lend, resell or automate your account beyond your own normal use, or run DraftSI on behalf of third parties as a service [DECIDE: whether agencies drafting for clients are allowed, and on what terms];
- extract, scrape or reverse-engineer the service or the model behind it, or use DraftSI's output to train or build a competing AI model [REVIEW].
Anthropic's usage policies
Every DraftSI step sends your instruction, any pictures you add and the drawing data it needs to Anthropic's model. You agree to follow Anthropic's Usage Policy as it stands from time to time, including its rules against illegal, harmful, deceptive and abusive uses and its requirements for high-risk uses. Where Anthropic's policy is stricter than this page, the stricter rule applies.
The model may refuse a request that it judges to break these rules. A refused step may still use credits for the work done up to the refusal [DECIDE: whether refused steps are charged]. [REVIEW]
Professional responsibility
DraftSI makes mistakes and does not understand your project. It does not design, check, certify or take responsibility for anything. Drawings that will be built, submitted to an authority or relied on by others must be checked and approved by the person responsible for the project, and signed off by a registered professional where the law requires one. [REVIEW]
Enforcement
If an account breaks this policy we may stop a step, decline a request, withdraw starter credits or suspend the account, as described in the terms of use. Where the law requires it, we may report illegal activity to the authorities. [REVIEW]
Reporting misuse
If you believe DraftSI or TellMeCAD is being misused, or that a drawing produced with it infringes your rights, write to support@tellmecad.com.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with its date. Last updated: [DECIDE: date].
